Experience Summary
I have shown that I am both an excellent student, and very well qualified to teach others. I have two bachelor degrees, a BA in German and a BSN in Nursing, which has provided me with a well-rounded education in both the liberal arts and the sciences. I documented frequently as an RN for seven years, and had an essay published in a local magazine in 2007. I have home schooled my children for more than fifteen years, two of whom have graduated from college with superior marks, and one who is excelling currently in college. I have also done educational test scoring for the past four years.
Teaching Style
My goal is to provide the best educational experience possible for any student I would teach. I would do my best to vary my approach for different subjects, and to provide a variety of experiences and settings. My desire would be that the student would enjoy learning as much as possible, because the more they enjoy it, the more motivated they will be to learn, not only when I am with them, but also on their own. I am very relaxed and friendly, and although my style is somewhat informal, I would still expect excellence from my students. Ultimately, I want every student of mine to be successful, as defined by them and their parents.
