Experience Summary
I have always loved learning. As a Health and Societies major and Psychology minor at Penn, I have come to truly love learning about anything and everything. I especially enjoy the process of writing about these topics, and have excelled in writing and grammar. It has been extremely rewarding for me to pass on these skills to children through tutoring them in reading and writing, particularly through my ongoing volunteer work at a local public school.
Teaching Style
I have never met a child that I have not enjoyed teaching. I believe that every child has strengths, and it is up to the tutor to pick up on these strengths and help the student use them. I teach in a laid-back and patient manner, and try to make sure that the child is always engaged and happy. Believing in the potential of the student can make a world of difference in helping the student to believe in himself, and will ultimately lead to a positive and successful tutoring experience.
