Experience Summary
I have earned a bachelor degree in nursing, and subsequently worked as a nurse for four years. I earned master degrees in psychology and business administration. I was admitted into Psi Chi National Honor Society for Psychology. I successfully obtained my Doctorate of Psychology degree in clinical psychology. During my tenure as a graduate student, I worked as an adjunct faculty member and conducted didactics on topics such as emotional intelligence, problem solving and public speaking.
Teaching Style
I approach teaching using a facilitator style. I believe in enabling my students by encouraging critical thinking through didactic and experential activities. I also value being flexible in learning because it not only allows students to grasp a new way of understanding information, it also enhances their approach to learning. I believe that the hallmark of teaching is the relationship that I am able to establish with my students through providing empathy, support and effective communication.
