Experience Summary
My teaching experience may be quite underdeveloped but is no way a reflection of my teaching ability. I have been a substitute instructional aide for 3 months and volunteer coaching track & field; These two endeavors have shown me the importance of versatility in teaching methods and the different learning faculty that children possess. I feel confident that I will be able to apply what I have learned to tutoring children or adolescents in basic math or English.
Teaching Style
I have an amazing ability to create a strong rapport with children or young adults. I think even those reluctant to strive find it difficult to resist enjoying the act of learning when they have an affable tutor alongside them. I try and approach concepts from different perspectives to see which one the student responds to the most and then try and tailor my methods to their learning style. I try my hardest to try and help students achieve their goals because my greatest joy is knowing I helped a student leap one step closer to their academic aspiration.
