Experience Summary
As an avid student, and one who continues to pursue greater education, I have found that those who do not continue his or her education will most likely not succeed in the business world. Since graduating with my BA in 2005, I have received 3 promotions and 3 pay increases totaling over 150%! I was a Full Charge Bookkeeper less than 3 years ago, and have served titles as Junior Portfolio Accountant, Lead Portfolio Accountant, Senior Portfolio Accountant, and finally Controller since graduating in December 2005. I have not only helped tutor fellow classmates during my education tenure, but I myself am currently a student striving for my Master's in Business Administration and Accounting.
Teaching Style
My teaching style first begins with getting to know and understand where the student stands in the specified subject, his or her needs of the subject, and then determining his or her strengths and weaknesses. Lastly, I like to emphasize how and when the aforementioned subject will be of value during the students career and/or lifetime. Once this is all determined the relationship between the student and teacher often determines how fast and how successful the course will be for both individuals. I do know this; while most students believe that it is they who are being taught and nurtured, it is actually I who probably learns the most. Teaching is also a profession where he or she will continue to learn throughout his or her tenure.
