Experience Summary
As a child I have always wanted to do something to help children. This is evidenced in my volunteer work with children, getting a bachelor's degree in child/human development, getting a master's degree in elementary education, and teaching for 17 years.
I have also tutored students individually as I wanted them to excel.
People have referred me to tutor their children and that's why I have also tutored for many years.
Teaching Style
I have always wanted to do something to make a difference for children. That commitment has influenced my teaching style. I am willing to help students beyond the call of duty by helping them individually and taking the extra time if need be to help them.
I believe in their greatness and work to help them believe in themselves and their abilities. I am goal-oriented, focused, empathetic, and encouraging. I motivate students to want to work and want to excel through care, encouragement, praise, and having them believe in themselves.
