Experience Summary
While substitute teaching for Palm Springs Unified School District, I was able to travel to different schools and grade-levels and observe the different ways children learn. Here, I helped students with reading, writing, and presentations. As I pursued my Bachelors degree in Journalism I obtained the ability to use two different writing styles, Associated Press (AP) and Chicago Manual. With this knowledge I am able to write clear and concise, use proper grammar, syntax, abbreviation, and punctuation.
Teaching Style
Of course, I love children. I love fostering a wilting education and making it bloom. There are many different teaching styles that are needed for different children. I am patient, understanding, and compassionate. Every child should be given a chance to learn to the best of their ability. Since I am a visual learner, I believe children are able to learn better when a subject matter is in front of them, or when given a real-life example. When a child is focused, in a proper environment, and realizes that fun can be had while learning, they will surely reach their full potential. I want to ensure academic success to every child I teach or tutor.
