Experience Summary
I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Speech Communication. I was recently accepted into a Master's of Psychology program, specializing in Research, Evaluation, and Measurement. I have superb communication skills, both in oral and written form. I have informally tutored high school students in mathematics, psychology, and sciences. My current Master's program will afford me even more mathematical expertise, specifically in statistics. I have also served as a Data Specialist for the past three years. I have previously co-facilited adolescent groups with behavioral disorders. I have also helped previous clients obtain their GED.
Teaching Style
I consider myself to exert a demonstrator model of teaching, meaning that I help children learn through demonstrating skills and then coaching students to apply these skills. I also focus on fostering self-confidence which can encourage any child to learn new and difficult skills. I try to establish a trusting relationship with each student so that he or she will feel comfortable in the learning environment.
