Experience Summary
I graduated from Purdue University in May of 2007 with a BS degree in Applied Physics. The Applied portion means I took an additional 10 courses on top of the normal physics load. This has given me an in-site on math, physics, chemistry, computer programming, astronomy, and a bit about electronics. I know how to be thorough in my work with a high attention to detail. I have tutored in math, physics, and chemistry in the past.
Teaching Style
I approach teaching as a challenge; as I know not every student learns the same way. I first start by finding a common ground; a level of knowledge if you will. Essentially I find what they know and where do they need help. From there I like to find out something the student has an interest in; thus allowing me to relate subjects to something they find interesting. I also like to constantly reinforce what the student has learned with questions and examples. Finally I relate everything that the student has learned to the real world; which I find gives them a better understanding of what they've learned, and for the importance of it.
