Experience Summary
As a former Peace Corps Volunteer, International Curriculum Developer and teacher I am convinced that our world is a classroom full of opportunity and information. I have experience teaching in varying cultures, assessing and meeting the needs of all learners. I have taught educational theory and facilitated teacher workshops. Additionally, I have taught basic to advanced reading, writing, math, and language skills to students ranging in age from early elementary to adults.
Teaching Style
I teach because I believe in the impact a teacher can have on a child, and the impact a child can have on the world. I embrace each child’s personality and background, harness their unique strengths and talents, and foster growth in potentially underdeveloped skills to cater to the individual needs of each child. I am dedicated and experienced in meeting the “specific needs” of all learners. I am committed to helping students find success in the classroom and discovery in everyday experiences. I am skilled in developing individual learning plans, promoting total development ~ academic, physical, emotional, ethical, and social. I strive for all students to feel confident, valued, and ready for future schooling.
