Experience Summary
I have tutored for over ten years. I began this work in my undergraduate years at Mercer University where I was employed as a writing/grammer/ESL tutor through the university learning center. I also worked as a tutor through Mercer with the NCAA CHAMPS program for student athletes. While at graduate study at Vanderbilt University, I was employed as a teaching assistant. I tutored individual students on writing style and grammar for academic essays. I have tutored students in my spare time for years as a source of extra income and through volunteer projects.
Teaching Style
I love to teach, and I have taught many subjects. I have worked with students in art, french, English, and art history. Each subject and each student requires a different approach, and I enjoy rising to this challenge. I enjoy witnessing my students' success. In college, I specifically tutored student athletes who were in danger of losing their scholarships because of grades. All of my students maintained their GPA's and did not lose funding. I like to see this kind of success for others through my work. I find the needs and learning style of each student and work with them so that they learn the best and learn the most.
