Experience Summary
While majoring in biochemistry (BS) and minoring in microbiology, I have worked part-time as a teacher and tutor for undergraduate students in need of help in the sciences. I was nominated as Student Most Likely to Excel in the Sciences from my junior high school 8th grade class, and have worked in a research lab in my university. I also was Program Coordinator of a Bioinformatics Program correlated with UCLA, and have volunteered in the Salvation Army in my area, where I started when I was in high school tutoring children one-on-one with mathematics and science.
Teaching Style
After teaching adults in the university computer courses, I want to go back to tutor children and high school students. I can easily relate their subject of difficulty with their hobbies, which makes the transition of understanding their subject easier.
