Experience Summary
I am a natural at teaching since even my off duty activities are educational. For years, I was a library docent and volunteer and now I am a volunteer at the St. Louis Science Center. I have tutored one on one and at various middle schools and I taught at a high school program for delinquent students who were reentering the educational system. I taught any subject needed. I am currently enhancing my math knowledge for the purpose of improving my teaching skills and job opportunities. I can work alone or be a team player.
Teaching Style
I am flexible in my teaching style. I will use visual aids and the blackboard normally. I give workshops or quizzes to assess the progress of the student. I expose the student to educational technology that is used by industry and I teach traditional methods but if I find these fail I use other time proven teaching methods for mathematics like high speed math, etc. I have taught adult at junior college on the use of library equipment and how to use the library in general for homework and research. I was a volunteer for the summer educational program at St. Louis U. and I created a Spanish presentation with the students.
