Experience Summary
I am a recent retiree with 33 years of teaching in both private and public institutions. I have had the pleasure of working on four different continents, primarily as a math and French instructor. Among my various accomplishments, I would include my year in France as a Fulbright exchange participant. After teaching French for my first dozen years, I then acquired a supplementary credential in mathematics, a subject area in greater demand. The majority of my career has been devoted to students of middle school age.
Teaching Style
Having taught in Australia, France, Japan and the United States, I have gained a unique understanding of different school systems and teaching methodologies. I particularly enjoyed the smaller private school settings with motivated learners. All the same, I believe that my years in the public sector served to improve my organizational and management skills. I am known for providing critical thinking activities as a supplement to the core material in my math classes. Students appreciate my project-oriented lessons.
