Experience Summary
As a graduate of Colorado State University, I pursued my Mathematics degree, with a concentration in Secondary Education, with diligence. I earned my bachelor degree - BS in Mathematics. Also, during this time, I student taught for a semester at Cherry Creek High School in Englewood, Colorado. I worked side by side with a High School Math teacher, and gained valuable insight and training for teaching in a classroom. In addition to this, I learned Spanish in Costa Rica. Thereafter, I worked in Mexico, teaching English classes to youth. Lastly, I have received my Substitute teaching license in Colorado and currently am working as a Math Tutoring in Colorado Springs.
Teaching Style
I have a passion for working with children of all ages. Having six children of my own is what drives me to make sure that my kids and my students receive the best teaching/tutoring possible. My number one priority is to discover your child's learning style and to incorporate that into my teaching. It is vital that every student understands how any material relates to everyday life. I am focused on training, mentoring, and preparing every student for the real world. I am creative, patient, encouraging, and disciplined. A student's success is measured by the success of the teacher, and it is my goal to ensure that all students receive life changing teaching.
