Experience Summary
Currently I am in two graduate programs in the medical field, naturopathic medicine and acupuncture. I feel very confident in my math and sciences. I have had past experience tutoring students at a local Learning Centering in Scottsdale where I worked with children from early elementary to high school. I am currently dealing with a special needs child as well so working with children at various cognitive levels is not problematic. I am very patient and aware if the student is following me during the explanation process.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is dependent on the student. With some students I find that they just need initial guidance from me before I let them be independent with their assignments. With other students I have found that they need me to hold their hand, so to speak, during the whole process. When that is the case I make sure that the student does not feel inadequate by having me walk them through each assignment. Since I am a graduate student I also implement various ways I learn with the students I teach. I will use auditory and visual modalities of teaching in order to help them develop various senses while they learn.
