Experience Summary
I have always had a passion for math and science. This passion has lead me to pursue careers in areas that will allow me to apply my knowledge of math and science. However, while in these fields I discovered that I enjoyed helping and teaching others. So, after realizing this I decided to go into teaching full time. I have scored the open ended portions of math and science standardized tests. After being a scorer I moved into the area of educational training where I trained others to score tests. Later, after having passed my state certification tests, I went into teaching. I currently teach science and have taught math as well. Furthermore, I have tutored students in all areas of math including SAT, ACT and GED exams.
Teaching Style
I have worked with children and adult learners for quite a while now. So, from my experience and formal education, I know that children and adults learn in different ways. The ways in which they process information that is presented on any given subject really depends on the students learning style. I tailor my instruction to the individuals learning style( visual, auditory, kinesthetic ).
