Experience Summary
Over the years, I have been able to utilize my communication and interpersonal skills in my work with diverse student populations in various teaching and mentoring capacities, as well as liaising with parents, other teachers/administrators, and the public. I have also had the opportunity to work with and assess students with learning disabilities, as well as adults with developmental disabilities. I am sensitive to the nuances of working with the unique needs of an diverse youth and adult population.
As someone with an international education and background, I would bring a unique knowledge and skill base that would benefit your organization and those it serves. I am a recent graduate of the University of Glasgow with a Master's degree in English Literature. I also completed my Bachelor's in English here in San Diego at San Diego State University. I am a team player, and value collaboration. I believe strongly in and have implemented an individualized approach to my teaching and interactions with others.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is one of mutual respect and learning. I believe strongly in the principle of guidance to allow the student to reach her/his highest potential. I value the individual, and make use of creative resources that are tailored to fit the needs of the student as a person. I also take into account the multiple learning styles of each individual. I value the exchange on a humanistic and holistic level.
