Experience Summary
I have been teaching for twenty seven years in various grades, schools, and types of classes. I taught for 16 years in a bilingual classroom. My last 11 years of teaching have been in a traditional classroom. I have taught every grade level from 1st to 7th, and currently, I even teach an ESL class after school. My areas of expertise would be writing, English grammar, Spanish, and social sciences. I currently tutor students to prepare for their state tests in May. I feel that my experience has led me to a place where I can say that I am prepared and qualified to teach most students with success.
Teaching Style
I respect my students and they respect me. I expect them to work hard, because I work hard, as well. I will do what is humanly possible to help them achieve their goals. I connect with students on a personal level to find out their manner of learning, and after that, I find materials which will make it easier for them to learn. I enjoy working with students who love learning, but if they do not, I can still help them to do better in school.
