Experience Summary
I have recently graduated from Florida State Univeristy. I studied Sociology have a a passion for understanding and helping people. Through my studies and personal development I have learned a great deal on SES how you it develops your world view. Taking race and minority relations social group of psychology and many other classes that pertain to the educational gap because of one socio economic status. I have a minor in psychology and communications. I have done some studies with the Autism Spectrum. I have always loves children, teaching as well as learning. I am the older sister of the 2 brothers one with dyslexia and the other with emotional issues. As the older sister and daughter of a military family I have always played a main role in tutoring them and keeping them involved with school as possible.
Teaching Style
I believe patients is the key to all with learning. Especially to children who have a hard time at school or may come from a family that education is not emphasized. Children no matter what age can feel fustration and anxiety from others remaining calm, positive and assuring is the best way to get a child relaxed enough to be able stopo worrying about all other things going on in the lifes and focus on the subject at hand. Letting them know you 'know' they can do it and will stick it out with them until they do. I believe that having one person who believes in them can change a childs life and how they feel about themselves and there educational future. Every decision we make in life is a result of consequences. I would love to be that postive emforcement and make a difference in a childs life.
