Experience Summary
In college, I pursued a minor degree in English because of my love of English, reading, and writing. I love to proofread and edit. Being a sociology major, I had to write many papers, which fine-tuned my grammatical, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills. In law school, I excelled in and enjoyed legal writing courses. While I worked for Kaplan, I taught and privately tutored ACT students. As an attorney I have extensively utilized all of the above-mentioned skills. I enjoyed teaching and tutoring high school students for the ACT.
Teaching Style
I am best-suited for the older student. I like to establish a rapport for efficient use of teaching/tutoring time. The more comfortable a student is with his teacher/tutor, the more interested he becomes in the subject being taught/tutored. Some students need extra help, which I am patient enough to provide; however, some students need a little push, which I am firm enough to provide.
