Experience Summary
As a graduate student in Biomechanics with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering I have gained an extensive knowledge of mathematics and the physical sciences, which I have been able to combine with my laboratory research experience and personal endeavors to develop a complete understanding of a well-rounded education. In conjunction with this education I have been a laboratory instructor for three years, which has allowed me to develop and implement course curriculum, including lectures, assignments, and final projects, while cultivating a great understanding of the teacher- student relationship. Allotting me the requisite skills to change students live, my experience in higher education has truly shown me how important it is to aid someone in their quest for a higher education.
Teaching Style
The greatest gift that one can give is that of an education and the greatest gifts that the provider must have is that of patience and consideration. All students absorb and learn information differently and therefore each student must be taken as an individual. While some learn through iteration, others learn through hands-on experience, consequently it is important to pinpoint each student’s learning abilities and work to supply them with the best experiences possible so that they are able to learn how important and wonderful an education is. Anyone can pass an exam if they want to but it is more important for them to realize that the knowledge they are gaining far exceeds any grade they can achieve.
