Experience Summary
Since I was a child, I knew I was a writer. I made it the objective of my study from middle school through college. I recently graduated with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies and have put it to work for the past year as a researcher/reporter with the Las Vegas Business Press. Over the years, I have held a number of positions where communications and education overlap. I had the opportunity to work with elementary-aged students in reading and writing groups based on their level. I also assisted the CALL program with ESL and GED training for adult students.
Teaching Style
Educators have an enormous responsibility to the next generation. It is important to provide a student with tools they can use based on their learning style. I think it is most important to encourage creativity and learn from the students as much as they learn from you. To establish a common language in the learning process can only further one's development. I teach with the idea of taking baby steps to build a sturdy foundation to the next levels.
