Experience Summary
I am a graduate humanties scholar who combines a strong academic background (my examination fields are modern European history, European intellectual history, and modern Islamic history) with more than a decade's experience teaching English as a foreign language and GRE and GMAT preparation courses, as well as experience with technical and business training development and delivery. I am fluent in French and have some knowledge of Latin, Greek, Russian, Arabic, and Swedish.
Teaching Style
I am a born teacher, and I am nowhere more in my element than in the classroom. I have taught and tutored in three countries and in subjects ranging from algebra and physics, through English language and composition, to accessible Web design and the history of anti-Semitism in European art. I believe in integrated and cross-disciplinary approaches to instruction, providing learners with the tools they need to discover and be excited by the connections among diverse subjects.
