Experience Summary
When I had the opportunity to design and teach a Vo-Tech. School program from the ground up, I realized my love and passion for teaching and making a difference in the lives of my students. Being semi-retired with lots of time available, I am living out my passion by substitute teaching middle and high school students in my local school district. With a rich science and english background, I feel I can make a difference by helping those less fortunate academically in many areas.
Teaching Style
I have a passion for teaching students of all ages, especially 4th grade and up. My teaching style consists of involving the students as much as possible in the learning process because I am a firm believer that students do learn from one another - especially when one student becomes a mentor or reciprocal teacher for another. Discussions are very important because they allow for free expression of opinions and learning opportunities from one another.
