Experience Summary
I am a recently retired educator from Massachusetts. I have spent most of my career in the classroom but have been fortunate enough to have taught all age groups. My last few years in education were spent as a literacy coach and Director of Elementary Education. It was during this time that I wrote and received an NCLB grant for Reading First. Throughout my teaching career, I have tutored all levels of French and Spanish as well as literacy and numeracy at the K-8 level.
Teaching Style
I am a life long learner and as such I am a life long teacher. Because I love learning, I instill the love of learning in all of my students. My goal is to take children from where they are academically and with strategies, encouragement, and enthusiasm, bring them to their potential. All children can learn but not in the same way or in the same amount of time. My goal is to find a student's strengths and provide the scaffolding to develop his/her learning style, confidence, and academic improvement.
