Experience Summary
Throughout my life, I have been solicited by teachers to tutor my classmates in Math and Science. Due to my love for those subjects, I decided to earn my bachelor and master degree in Biomedical Engineering. I particularly enjoy Mathematics and have always enjoyed passing my knowledge onto others. I decided to get my certification to teach middle school Math but was offered a great opportunity to earn my master's degree. Upon finishing my thesis, I entered the Medical Device industry. Although I love my job, I really want to get back to helping students learn and excel at Math and Science. In the past, I was a substitute teacher, I tutored two high school seniors to raise there Math SAT score, I participated in a program called KAPOW, that teaches the power of work to grammar school children and I also tutored my colleagues for the GRE.
Teaching Style
Teaching is a very difficult task and I feel that not one method works for every student. In general, I try to take a passive approach, guiding the student to come to their own conclusions. My goal is to provide the student with all the tools necessary to be successful in the subject I am teaching. The key is catering to the student's natural learning abilities, sympathizing with their difficulties, and doing what it takes to get through to the student.
