Experience Summary
My life has been divided between the worlds of education and business. I earned my B.A. from a small, liberal arts school in S.C. and got my teaching certification and subsequent graduate work from a state university in Florida. My business career showed me the importance of clear, articulate writing and communication and this is what I seek to instill in students. My love for the arts and reading has added depth and understanding to my life and these two areas are what I want to pass on to future generations.
Teaching Style
My teaching skills in education and business centered on personal involvement with the student. Teaching is best accomplished when the teacher understands the student's difficulty and I strive to help the student understand the value and importance of language, art and communication. By opening these vistas to the student, they become aware of the depth of others thoughts and perceptions and this leads to a greater tolerance and insight into life and its experiences.
