Experience Summary
The acquisition of two degrees; National Diploma in Electrical Engineering and BS in Aeronautical Science has made the subjects of math and science second nature to me. English classes have greatly improved my communication and grammatical skills. During the last seven years, I have tutored students primarily in the subjects of mathematics, English and sciences.
Teaching Style
Having tutored in different levels of education, I discovered that the main problem students have in general is understanding the basic fundamentals of the subject matter. So my teaching approach is making sure students understand the elementary basics of the subject before introducing new material. More so, I explain to students why the subject matter is of paramount importance to their education. I believe all students are capable of learning if given the opportunity to do so in their preferred way. I also believe that students learn at different speeds, so I exercise great patience in the learning process of each student and refuse to compare them to one another. I love teaching because of the joy I derive from impacting knowledge into someone else’s life. My goal is to achieve a 100% success rate for all my students.
