Experience Summary
It is my sincere belief that one person can make a difference. It is with this in mind that I signed-up to be a substitute teacher and also to volunteer my services with Lake County to tutor basic literacy and ESL to those in need of these services. I worked as a substitute teacher from November 2004 until February of 2006. I also have experience at Literacy Volunteers of America tutoring ESL students. Learning is a lifelong process and I hope to foster and or encourage this within my students. I recently completed my graduate degree and currently have flexibility with my schedule. Thank you for entrusting your child in my care for the hours that we will interact.
Teaching Style
I believe that each person, whether a child or an adult, possess certain unique qualities and learning styles. With this in mind, I tailor my teaching skill sets to the student's learning style, while incorporating innovative techniques to maximize their learning potential. Mediocrity is not an acceptable norm. I will do my best to help my student to achieve his/her best while doing so in a friendly and respectful environment.
My Hobbies
My hobbies include reading, gardening, tennis and dancing.
