Experience Summary
As a teacher of many different learning levels and age groups, I am able to provide tutoring to reach a diverse range of students. As an elementary teacher, I taught in all core subject matters (from Kindergarten to 5th grade). My grammatical skills were honed through my writing for journalism in high school, as well as the business English class I taught in the evenings for adults and high school students. I also taught an ESOL class for adult students that focused on reading, writing, and speaking in English.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is individualized to meet each student's needs. I am approachable and my students feel comfortable asking any question. I believe it is important to make the information relevant to the student's life, so that they are interested in the topic and motivated to learn. My goal is to let each student know that I care about their progess. It is rewarding to see academic improvement and success.
