Experience Summary
Taught American and world literature, grammar, writing, speaking, and thinking skills to academically challenged students, significantly lowering dropout and failure rates among my charge. Consistently received evaluations above administrators‘ expectations and regularly exceeded the state‘s exemplary student performance criteria. Took on additional responsibilities such as: school-wide competency testing coordinator, advisor for the yearbook publication, and club advisor for Odyssey of the Mind and Spirit Club.
Teaching Style
I am driven to help ALL students succeed. Every child has a strength and, I am usually adept at finding that strength and building upon it. I work particularly well with lower SES students and academically challenged students who feel discouraged and defeated.
