Experience Summary
I have an extensive background in Mathematics. I earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park. I have experience tutoring in advanced Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and SAT preparation. I feel I have sufficient expertise in Physics, Biology, and History to tutor in these areas as well.
Teaching Style
In my tutoring experience, I have worked with a wide variety of students at different learning levels. The teaching style I employ is tailored to the needs of each individual student. With mathematics, I emphasize an understanding of the key concepts underlying individual problems. I have also found that positive reinforcement is an effective tool for helping students who may be struggling with the material.
