Experience Summary
I have spent the last seven years as lecturer in Music Theory at Southeastern Louisisana University. I have tutored in Music Theory while at this post at back through undergraduate school. I have taught private lessons in piano by both Suzuki and Traditional methods for over 20 years. I believe my experience in writing a thesis and articles in my field would qualify me to tutor in academic writing.
Teaching Style
Private lesson teaching is my favorite teaching. It is a unique opportunity to adapt one's teaching approach to a single individual, to create the perfect learning environment moment to moment. When I teach privately I am patient, flexible, and supportive. I believe absolutely in every human being's ability to learn, and in their ability to attain the sense of personal dignity that grows out of learning success.
