Experience Summary
I have recently graduated with an MA in counseling psychology and have come to deeply appreciate academics and the role of education in our lives. As a graduate student, my writing and research skills were sharpened. I have worked as a career counselor for the past 3 years and have led groups and worked with students individually on career issues. While I was in college I was a volunteer tutor with elementary students in reading and writing and some math.
Teaching Style
With my counseling background, I desire to work with your student to help build his/her confidence in academics, but also confidence in his/her self. Each student has a unique learning style and I will take a collaborative approach to help them discover what works best for who they are. I see myself as a learning coach for students.
