Experience Summary
Although I have only tutored English in Japan to adults and children, I believe my bachelor degree in French and Master's degree in art education combined with one year of student teaching in art provide a strong foundation to be an effective tutor. I can also add
my extensive background in holistic health which can be a contribution to the mental/emotional/physical components of a child's learning paradigm.
Teaching Style
My teaching style in the classroom involves the creation of agreements for decorum and expected performance criteria, usually in the form of a rubric for each project assigned.
My goal as a tutor is to assist a child with his/her own particular educational needs. I especially enjoy working one on one with children of all ages, observing, listening and drawing them out in creative ways to enhance their learning process.
