Experience Summary
I have PhD and Masters degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (major: Science). I have teaching experience of ten years at the college level, teaching Basic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry and Applied Chemistry. This has expanded my knowledge and made my teaching skills more effective. I have also assisted students in laboratory and carrying out laboratory experiments. I have an ability to integrate theoretical concepts and practical ideas. I believe teaching and learning is a dynamic and interactive process. I have always enjoyed teaching and been interested in growing my career.
Teaching Style
My objective as a teacher is to not only impart knowledge, but also make the students understand the concepts of the subject.
Based on my experience,it is my belief that students can accomplish more than they believe they can. My task is to encourage them to take the intellectual risks that are fundamental for their success. In order to accomplish this, I try to empower students as much as possible by making them active participants in their own education. I hope to foster critical thinking, facilitate the acquisition of life-long learning skills, and prepare students to function effectively to develop problem-solving strategy.
Generally, I believe the role of a teacher is to be a facilitator, teachers should enable students to become responsible for their own learning. I do recognize that students learn in different ways and are committed to the learning process.
