Experience Summary
Since graduation from the University of Minnesota in 2006, I have continued to expand my knowledge in various fields of science, medicine, and education. I have conducted research in the fields of neuroscience, genetics, and neurosurgery throughout my career while enlisting in several community activities that have ranged from collegiate mentor, to awareness educator in the surrounding twin cities area. I have also undergone extensive training to teach and tutor pre-medical college students through the Princeton Review Medical College Prep Course, and am highly motivated to continue this aspect of professional career.
Teaching Style
I have had very hands on approach to teaching and tutoring; specifically focusing on college level students, I have employed several different approaches to understanding physical science, biological science, and verbal reasoning. With my students, I often incorporate not only how to understand the material, but how to conceptualize given information and how to deduce that information in various test formats. I have a consistent goal that I will not leave any student behind, regardless of the amount of time and dedication that is required.
