Experience Summary
I have a BS in Elementary Education with a GPA of 3.86 and a MS in Special Education with a GPA of 3.93. I value education and I have had a lot of experience with it. During graduate school I completed two six-month internships working full time in the classroom. I have spent the past three years as a substitute teacher in local schools. I was hired by a school district for two two-month long-term substitute positions. I was also hired as a private tutor for two students who were suspended from school. During my undergrad I worked as a tutor at a local high school and was a math tutor at my college.
Teaching Style
Working in the education field is a dream come true for me. I love every minute of it. I have a love of learning and I enjoy sharing that with others and helping my students turn into life-long learners. I understand that all students do not learn the same way and that one teaching approach is not going to work with everyone. I have had a lot of practice determining what techniques students need and finding the way to reach those students so that they can be as successful as possible. I am a very fun and energetic teacher. I am very creative and like to come up with hands-on activities to teach my students. I enjoy showing students that learning is fun. I find what motivates my students and incorporate that into my teaching.
