Experience Summary
While pursuing my bachelor’s degree, I took an interest in tutoring children. I began my tutoring experience as a volunteer at a local elementary school near the college. I also branched out and began tutoring adolescents in a juvenile detention center. After completing my undergraduate degree, I obtained a position teaching 8th grade math/special education. I also taught third and fourth grade written language and math through a local program while completing my coursework for my master’s degree. Through my six years of experience, I have worked with all grade levels and tutored in English, math, science, and grammar. My strongest subjects are English, writing and math grades 1-8th.
Teaching Style
It is my goal to teach and reach the students; so I make sure their learning environment is fun and comfortable. I believe all students have the capability to learn with a good quality education. My teaching style consists of dedication, patience, learning, and determination. My motto has always been "to teach one is to reach one."
