Experience Summary
I have an extensive math and science-backed education, including two BS degrees and an MS as well. Not only have I excelled my entire academic career, but I am a great communicator and teacher. I have taught everything from Physics to undergrad students to English as a Second Language to students in Korea. I have lectured in front of 100 undergrad students as well as tutored one at a time. I have tutored for most of my adult life, covering math, science, physics, engineering, English, and even computer training.
Teaching Style
As both a teacher and a tutor, I have found several things to be important to a successful educator. First is engagement. I find it necessary to engage the student and involve them in the lesson. I've found that even something as simple as using props to illustrate a point helps the student understand the material better, but also be more interested in learning. Secondly, I've found that flexibility is also important. I understand that all students learn differently, and it is imperative that the teacher learns to adapt to each student's style, strengths, and weaknesses.
