Experience Summary
My passion is teaching. I have a Masters in Education, M.Ed with a Specialization in Curriculum and Instruction. I double majored in Education and Cognitive Studies at Vanderbilt University. I have been teaching and tutoring in diverse learning environments for ten years. I have taught children and adults in Costa Rica and throughout the United States in all subject areas. I am a dedicated, organized, professional and caring teacher who believes in success for all students.
Teaching Style
I believe it is essential to help build a child’s self-esteem for learning in order for them to achieve academic success. As an experienced educator, I have the ability to recognize strengths and areas of growth needed in all learners. I teach my students how to set personal and academic goals. It is important to me to adapt various teaching styles and methods in order to meet the needs of my students. With this positive and goal-oriented approach I am able to create successful and joyful learners.
