Experience Summary
This past year at St. Olaf College as I applied to graduate schools for statistics I was motivated to become a Teaching Assistant for a Statistics Class. This experience allowed me to gain a perspective on the patience and methods that are useful when attempting to communicate material with students.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with students. I believe mathematics is an exciting discipline that is important for all students. Mathematics is a discipline that constantly builds on previous knowledge; this makes diligent study habits extremely important! I am convinced students at or below the high school level are full of potential. They need to be taught in a manner motivates them to study and addresses their unique learning styles. I am driven to motivate students to construct efficient study habits and to adapt my teaching to their learning style. I have the enthusiasm, patience, and knowledge to be an effective tutor.
