Experience Summary
The only tutoring experience I have is tutoring my younger sister throughout her years in elementary and middle school, but I've always considered tutoring and would find it rewarding. I am currently a senior in Baruch College pursuing a degree in Economics with a heavy concentration in Mathematics. I have completed an internship for a financial services firm and have worked as a teller and cashier. I have fallen in love with math and would like to share that love with students in need.
Teaching Style
I feel teaching is an art. Though, as I've stated, I have no prior tutoring experience, I do have indirect experience by tutoring my sister as well as my peers, helping them with the material we process in class. I believe all people have the ability to learn anything and it all starts with the fundamentals of the subject. I believe if one can teach and have their pupil master the basics of any given subject, that student will succeed later in learning more difficult tasks. What I mean by the basics is understanding conceptually the thought process behind an idea or proof. How to think in terms of that subject is key because that will provide the foundation to tackle any problem regarding that subject.
