Experience Summary
It seemed I was always studying for something during the first 25 years of my life. First it was accounting in college followed by the CPA exam and then graduate school at night. I always enjoyed being a student and took advanced math classes including calculus with analytic geometry I & II. I am an avid reader and believe the book is always better than the movie!!
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with children of all ages. I believe in a constructivist learning theory which suggests that learning is more effective when a student is actively engaged in the learning process rather than attempting to receive knowledge passively. It is a guided discovery where I will lead my student through questions and activities to discover, discuss, appreciate and verbalize the new knowledge. All students can achieve their academic goals if given the appropriate support and instruction that fits their personal learning style.
