Experience Summary
As a dedicated professional with geniune interest in education, I understand the importance of a conducive learning environment that focus on academic success and social achievement. I have several years of experience working with children which included reading intervention. I recently worked as a tutor in Reading which varied in assignments. Also, I have extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers in my current area of study, Masters in Education. Since attending school I've realized why it is so important for me to change the way I teach and how I teach in order to meet the various needs of students.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with all children. I believe that all children are teachable and they have different learning styles. As a teacher, I want to get to know my students' learning styles, background, culture, interests, etc. My philosophy of education is to go beyond the traditional approach in teaching and learning. I prefer using various instructional methods and strategies to gain new and different perspectives on what I teach and how I teach. Continual self-reflection on my teaching practice where I am thinking carefully about what I'm doing and why is a vital part of teaching effectively. My goal is to help students in becoming lifelong learners.
