Experience Summary
Working with hundreds of college students to improve their writing, from academic essays in all subjects to college applications puts a big smile on my face. When they report to me that they received 'A' grades or acceptance to the college of their choice, we both know they have sharpened the tools which will energize their futures.
I have written extensively myself, as a fundraiser and communications consultant, so realize the impact, in dollars and cents, that clear and vivid language can have on your reader.

Teaching Style
I am warm-hearted and intuitive. I will listen carefully to what you say about your tutoring needs before I look at the work you are doing and offer my analysis of how you can make your language stronger, clearer and more persuasive.
I have raised two children who have financed their college educations through scholarships. What I learned from them is that learning is best when YOU do it. I can guide your steps and give you feedback, but everything in between will come from you, and that is exciting!
