Experience Summary
After graduating college, I worked as a structural engineer. As my experience grew, so did my responsibilities. I began getting younger interns in college and having to teach them theories and practices of engineering. The mathematics behind these theories involved, Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, and various other mathematics that I recently became certified in with the Florida Department of Education. About 2 years ago, a friend of mine asked me to tutor his son for the S.A.T.'s, his scores improved by about 100 points in the mathematics. Since then I have been tutoring through recommendations in College Algebra, Statistics, Pre calculus, and various other students in general mathematics.
Teaching Style
I really enjoy teaching and working with all with students in a one on one environment.. It's very fulfilling to see a student improve, but it takes practice, patience and hard work from the both the student and teacher. It's a team effort, when we both work hard, it makes it possible for the students to exceed there goals. My real world background allows me to relate to students in very different ways and provide them a background on what is being learned and it helps them remember not only the steps involved but the questions to ask to solve the problem at hand. This can make a world of different to the student. I strive to help all my students obtain there goals and exceed them.
