Experience Summary
As a PhD Candidate from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (ITP) I understand the importance of motivation. I earned an MBA at Colorado Technical University (CTU), and my Bachelor of Science in Park and Recreation, with a Minor in Art from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU). I have earned teaching certification in which include courses in classroom management, multicultural diversity and integration.
Teaching Style
I try to make learning fun, hold student interest, and make principles easy to remember. I aim to integrate life skills and safety issues, and give real life examples so students will understand why lesson is important. I offer students ethical decision making dilemmas to encourage critical thinking skills, include multicultural diversity, and often use humor to hold student attention. I emphasize wellness, self-care and the importance of caring for our environment. I promote freedom of expression and creativity. I have excellent listening skills and am always patient and kind.
