Experience Summary
As a literacy volunteer I was awakened to a deep desire to achieve my degree in a career in the helping profession. This profession opened doors for a career change in education. I embraced the challenges of a teacher/professor for students ranging from kindergarten to senior citizens, both in the class room setting and one-on-one tutoring in the home settings and community programs. Teaching continues to be the common thread that binds my life experiences with the core person I continue to grow into.
Teaching Style
I love working with people of all ages and from a verity of cultures in an educational setting. I firmly believe that every person can learn but that each person has a dominate and secondary learning style of their own. In order to enhance learning for the student, I enjoy the challenge of developing and implementing lesson plans to match the students learning style. My teaching experience includes those needing rehabilitation and the underprivileged.
